Use Cases

The client leads the digital transformation of energy management
and automation. From energy and sustainability consulting to optimizing the
lifecycle of assets, the organization provides products and services to meet customer’s needs, helping the world become more efficient, reduce costs, and meet sustainability goals. With 135,000 employees worldwide, their 2022 revenue was $34.2B.

This client piloted two locations that were having significant challenges finding qualified talent available to fully staff shifts, most specifically Shipping/Receiving talent with forklift certification. This caused a backlog in deliveries to customers and an increase in cost due to paying overtime to existing available workers. In some cases, the client was enforcing overtime, causing a negative culture to develop, which also impacted the available talent pool.

The customer went live with WorkLLama’s shift management platform to build a dynamic talent pool for two manufacturing locations in Pennsylvania. During implementation, the platform was configured to provide flexibility in how shifts were set up to accommodate partial shifts and automated communication for underfilled or unfilled shifts to drive a better experience for the organization, shift managers, and workers. This allowed part-time workers to access shifts that meet their schedule and the ability to communicate with former workers, saving training costs.

WorkLLama also captures candidate’s skills and requirements by job category and tracks credentials, training, background checks, and more, so workers can flex between multiple locations. Using our mobile app, workers can see their schedule, pick up extra shifts, and get access to available work in real time. This has helped mitigate overtime, reduce costs, fill shifts completely, and provide a better experience for all involved.
